Christian Amish Fiction

In 1997, The Shunning by Beverly Lewis, ushered in a new subgenre of Christian fiction. Since then Christian Amish fiction has exploded.
Nicknamed “bonnet books” by fans because of the ubiquitous covers showing women wearing prayer kapps, Amish fiction generally tells a story—either contemporary or historical—set within an Amish community. We have in several sets by Beverly Lewis including Abram’s Daughters & Nellie Fisher. We also have some of her books as singles and they all can be found in our Christian Fiction Bookcase.
