Sunday, June 26th- 2022, marked 25 years since readers were first welcomed inside the halls of Hogwarts. The novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, after being rejected 12 times, finally got published in the UK by Bloomsbury with an initial print run of 1000 copies, 500 were distributed to libraries. Upon arriving at Kings Cross Station make sure you have your ticket, your luggage, and your owl, cat, or your toad before getting onto Platform 9 3/4.
Once you get onto the platform and prior to boarding the Hogwarts Express, you can donate a sock to Free a House Elf. But don’t miss the train, we have no magical cars for you to borrow to get to Hogwarts.
Once you have boarded the train, and you are all settled with your luggage stowed, you could pick something off the trolley to snack on during the long journey to Hogwarts. Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans are always a favourite.
Once the train has arrived at Hogsmeade Village it is wise to scan the current Wanted Posters and be aware of any dangerous wizards who may have escaped from Azkaban. Should you see any of these wizards, do not use magic against them, but notify immediately, by owl, the Ministry of Magic– Witch Watchers Department. Any information leading to an arrest shall be duly rewarded.
After studying the Wanted Posters it is time to make your way into Hogwarts to be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor · Slytherin · Ravenclaw · Hufflepuff.
After you have been sorted- it’s time to get down to the business of studying and becoming great witches or wizards.
